“World Peace Meditation”

is the latest sound meditation album by

composer and multi-instrumentalist

Jim Trotta Davis, also known as Suburbanoid™

In this album, Suburbanoid employs his world orchestra of instruments to create his peaceful, meditative music. This includes Tibetan Singing Bowls, a fusion sitar from India, a Baglama from Turkey, a gong from Italy, Koshi chimes from France, a Kalimba from Africa, an electric guitar, Ebow, ocean drum, buffalo drum and crystal singing bowls from the USA, as well as a 12-string acoustic guitar from Canada, a synthesizer from the UK, among other exceptional instruments. Furthermore, the album features glossolalia vocal styles and chants performed by Suburbanoid and Helia (representing the divine feminine and masculine). Glossolalia -vocalizations that sound like language but lack conventional meaning, used for spiritual expression (singing in tongues) or as a compositional technique to explore pure sound and emotion.

Many cultures hold the belief that inner peace is essential for achieving outer peace, and this sound meditation aims to nurture both.

I encourage you daily to take a moment in your day to unwind, listen, reflect, and embrace peace within yourself and in the world around you.

• Find a serene spot and get comfortable,

• Begin the sound meditation, close your eyes, and focus on the sound (it’s best experienced with headphones or a high-quality audio speaker or system).

• Connect with your breath. Inhale deeply and slowly through your nose, letting your belly expand. Hold for a moment at the peak of your breath. Gradually exhale, letting go of any tension, stress, or concerns. Keep breathing gently, becoming aware of the natural rhythm of your breath as it moves in and out.

• Silently say a mantra to yourself; some suggestions include "Peace begins with me," "Peace is my true state of being," or "May Peace prevail on earth."

• Think of someone you cherish deeply—a family member, friend, or pet. Picture them vividly in your mind's eye.

• Allow your body and mind to relax softly and listen deeply

Let’s take a moment daily to create peace in ourselves and the world around us.

Being peaceful together!
